Log In: Use the credentials sent to your email from your Onboarding Specialist to log into your account.

Update Your Profile: Navigate to your email address in the top right corner and click on the dropdown. Select My Account and review the information in this section. Make edits to your name, contact information, and organization details.

Choose Your Preferences: In the same My Account section configure data feature permissions, language, time zone, and notification settings for a personalized experience.

Configure Security Settings: Connect with your SurveyMonkey technical contact to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) or setup Two-factor Authentication. If you're not sure who your Technical Contact is, reach out to your Onboarding Specialist.

If you’ve purchased HIPAA compliance, please enable this feature by following the steps below:

  1. Click on My Team in the top-left corner while logged in.
  2. Select Settings from the menu.
  3. On this page, find the HIPAA BAA section and click Enter into a BAA.

As an Admin on your Enterprise team, you can add users, change and set permissions, and assign user roles.

Prep Your Users: Let your team know that you’re working on building a SurveyMonkey Enterprise team and explain how they can gain access once they receive their invite. Use this email template to help explain the steps.

Invite Team Members: Find the My Team tab in the top left menu bar section of your account, click on the down arrow, and select Add Users. Send invitations to your team members via email or create a team sign-up page where people in your organization can send invites to themselves to join. Teams with SSO enabled won't see either of these options and instead can send a team’s invite link. 

Assign Roles and Permissions: Understand and define user roles and permissions to control access and responsibilities. Learn more about roles and how to make adjustments.

You can create a survey from scratch or from a template.

Get a head start by using a template designed by our team of survey experts. Use the dropdown menu to browse templates by type to find the right survey for you. If you're on a team, you can also browse your team survey templates.

Try our Build with AI option which helps you create a survey designed to meet your goals. To get started, answer a few simple questions about you and your survey goals.

Once your survey design is ready to go, click Collect Responses to create a collector and send your survey. Any collectors you create can be managed from your collector list.

There are various ways to send your survey and collect responses:

Mobile SDKGet a survey hash used by app developers to add surveys to iOS or Android apps.
Field SurveyCollect responses without an internet connection through the SurveyMonkey Anywhere app.
Text MessageText your contacts a link to your survey. Survey takers can tap the link to take your survey in their mobile browser.

Using our Analyze view, you can see a summary view of your data; browse individual responses; create and export dynamic charts; use filter, compare, and show rules to analyze specific data views and segments; view and categorize open-ended responses, and easily download your results in multiple formats.

In addition to our built-in visualization tools, as part of an Enterprise team, you have access to features like Response Quality which uses machine learning to scan your survey results and flag poor-quality responses.

SurveyMonkey Enterprise offers powerful tools to help your organization create branded surveys that reflect your identity and build trust with respondents. Consistent branding ensures a professional appearance, aligns with your organization's standards, and enhances respondent engagement. Explore the branding options available and learn how to customize your surveys effectively.

TIP! Add your custom theme to the library and save commonly used themes as templates to create consistency across all team surveys.

A survey theme determines the overall look and feel of your survey, including the font, colors, and logo placement. Custom themes are a great way to reinforce your brand identity across all surveys.

To add a custom theme:

  1. Navigate to the Design Survey section of your project.
  2. Click on Themes in the left-hand menu.
  3. Select an existing theme or click Create New Theme to start customizing.
  4. Customize the following elements:
    • Font Style and Size: Choose from available fonts or upload a custom one.
    • Color Palette: Set primary and secondary colors for backgrounds, text, and buttons.
    • Logo: Upload your organization’s logo and place it in the header or footer.
  5. Save the theme and apply it to your survey.

Adding a logo to your survey is an easy way to make it instantly recognizable.

To add a logo:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section.
  2. In the Builder tab, click Header or Footer to edit these sections.
  3. Click the Logo option to upload an image.
  4. Adjust the size and alignment as needed.
  5. Preview your survey to ensure the logo appears as intended.

SurveyMonkey allows you to customize the color palette to match your brand’s identity. You can adjust background, text, and button colors.

To customize brand colors:

  1. In the Themes menu, select a theme to edit.
  2. Choose your preferred colors for the following elements:
    • Background
    • Text
    • Buttons
    • Hyperlinks
  3. Save your changes and apply the theme.

You can your organization’s HEX color codes for precise alignment with your brand standards.

TIP! Use CSS to style your survey so that it matches your visual assets, fonts, colors, and style preferences.

A custom URL (e.g., surveys.yourcompany.com) adds another layer of professionalism to your surveys.

To set up a custom URL:

  1. Connect with your SurveyMonkey Technical Contact to get started. Don’t know who your contact is? Reach out to your Onboarding Specialist
  2. Work with your IT team to configure the domain settings.
  3. Once set up, share the branded URL with your team for use in surveys.

You can also change the subdomain of your survey link to make you organization more recognizable to respondents.

ENTERPRISE ADD-ON: Requesting a custom subdomain is only available on some Enterprise packages, please contact your Onboarding Specialist to get set up.

Customizing the Survey Footer

The footer is another opportunity to include branding elements such as a logo, copyright notice, or links to privacy policies.

First hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section of your survey.
  2. Click Style.
  3. In the Settings tab, click Footer.
  4. Select None to hide the footer.

Then add your own footer:

You'll need to add additional text into your survey, at the very end of each page. You can add extra spacing to the top of the text so it appears lower down the page.

Avoid overwhelming your survey with too many design elements.

Use the same logo, fonts, and colors across all surveys.

Make sure your branding displays correctly on different devices and browsers.

Follow your organization's branding and privacy guidelines.

Marketo IntegrationOur Marketo integration lets you sync your SurveyMonkey response data with your leads in Marketo.

You can use it to create or update leads in Marketo from contact information collected in SurveyMonkey, attach survey response data from SurveyMonkey to existing leads in Marketo, and trigger email campaigns based on certain response conditions.
Microsoft Power BI IntegrationSurveyMonkey's Microsoft Power BI integration lets you connect SurveyMonkey response data to Power BI Desktop.

Power BI lets you create data models, visually display your data with charts and graphs, and create reports.
Tableau IntegrationSurveyMonkey's Tableau integration lets you set up an extract to export survey responses and quiz results to Tableau Desktop using a Web Data Connector
