If you need more than one SurveyMonkey account for your organization, sign up for a team. Team plans offer consolidated billing, seat management, a Library with shared images and templates, and collaboration features that help your team work together to create, send, and analyze surveys.
Your plan type and seat type determine the features your account has. We have one free plan with limited features and several paid plans with more advanced features. Here's an outline of some of the main differences between them.
A monthly plan is a great option if you don’t want to pay for a whole year at once —you can pay and renew month to month. Monthly plans only include 1,000 survey responses per month, and additional responses cost extra.
We offer discounts to some nonprofits, students, and educators who are eligible. The discounts we have available differ depending on the country you're located in.
If you miss a payment or cancel auto-renew before your next billing date, your account will downgrade to a free plan. To send surveys with paid features or to view and export all data, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan again.
Payment methods available depend on the plan type, billing country, and what you're buying. Whenever you're making a purchase, you'll see a list of all the payment methods available after you choose the country on the checkout page.
You'll have access to paid features once we receive your payment. Processing time depends on the payment method you used and can vary by bank and country.

Audience Credits let you pay for your SurveyMonkey Audience responses in advance. You pay one invoice upfront, then use credits to pay for individual projects. You can also use credits to pay for concept testing.
PayPal is only available as a payment method in some countries. The best way to know if you can use PayPal is on the checkout page after you choose your billing country.
The currency you’re charged in depends on the billing country where your payment method is located. Before you complete a payment, we make sure to clearly display your billing currency right above the Confirm or Pay button.
Your Billing Details, Invoices, and Payment History
From the Billing Details tab in My Account, you can access your upcoming invoices to be paid, check your next billing date, print out your paid invoices, edit your payment and billing information, and add a billing contact for your account.
If you'd like to be emailed an invoice to pay rather than be automatically charged at your next billing date, you can pay by invoice. Invoicing is available for annual plans only.
Taxes on SurveyMonkey Purchases
Taxes may be included in the price of subscriptions, renewals, and other purchases when applicable, depending on your billing country. Invoices are immediately issued upon checkout, and you can find them in your Billing Details.

Paid plans are subscriptions that auto-renew by default to ensure you don't lose access to paid features at your next billing date. If you decide you don’t want to keep your paid plan active after your next billing date, you can cancel auto-renew.
Free plans have a response limit per survey. Monthly plans have an account-wide response limit per month, and you’ll be billed response overages or billable responses if you exceed the limit. For larger response limits, we recommend an annual plan.
Your plan may have auto-renewed, you may have exceeded your monthly 1,000 response limit, or new users may have joined your team.
Canceling or Deleting Your SurveyMonkey Account
To cancel a paid subscription, go to your Billing Details from My Account and cancel auto-renew. Or you can delete your account, if you don't want to keep it or your survey data any longer.
