Managing & Sharing Surveys
Use the My Surveys page to organize and manage your surveys.
You can copy a survey within your account, or even have another SurveyMonkey user transfer a copy of one of their surveys to you.
Clearing or Deleting Responses
You can delete individual responses, all the responses from a given collector, or all the responses for an entire survey.
You can delete a survey from the My Surveys page in your account. Click the down arrow to the right of the survey. This action is permanent.
Using Folders to Organize Surveys
Folders help you organize and filter surveys on the My Surveys page. You can create your own folders, or use the folders automatically created when someone shares surveys with you. The All surveys folder is your default folder. To view surveys in other folders, click the folder dropdown to switch.
To take a survey online, you need the survey link. Contact the survey creator or the person who asked you to take the survey. To find a survey you created (or a survey that was shared with you), log in and go to the My Surveys page of your account.
You can save a survey design as a PDF for easy printing to take to a meeting or to collect responses on paper offline. Edit the survey or adjust print settings to make sure the PDF prints the entire design.
Sending a Copy of a Survey to Another Account
You can copy a survey to another account from the My Surveys page, as long as the receiving account is on a pro plan.
You can share surveys with people on or outside your team if you have an Enterprise account or a Full Access seat on a team. Your plan type determines the ways you can share surveys, if people can reshare your surveys, and if you have the option to automatically share surveys with your entire team or workgroup.
Transferring Surveys to Another Account
You can transfer one or more surveys from your account to another paid account. The entire survey, including collectors and responses, is transferred to the new owner and removed from your account.
Can I merge surveys or survey results?
It's not possible to merge two survey designs or the results of two separate surveys, even if they are identical in design or copies of one another.
You can edit a live survey, but editing options are limited if you've collected responses.
Collectors control if your survey is open or closed. If you have multiple collectors, you need to close each one separately. You can customize the message shown on the survey closed page. If your collector is not fully set up, it will display a Draft status.
Changing your survey language switches certain default survey text—like navigation buttons and the survey end page—to another language. For the rest of your survey, like the title and questions, you need to provide your own translations.
You can create a multilingual survey by adding more survey languages to your survey. With a single survey, you can reach everyone in the language they're most comfortable with—and analyze all your results together as a single data set.
The Survey Summary page provides an overview of your survey design, collector information, and response data.
