You can allow respondents to edit their responses later. You can also edit a respondent's response in your results.
To allow respondents to edit or change their survey responses:
Accepting Payments limitation Respondents won't be able to edit their responses after they submit a payment, even when response editing is on.
You can allow people who take your survey to edit their responses either while completing the survey or after they submit the survey, or you can prevent respondents from editing their responses after they submit them.
The available Response Editing options depend on the collector type you're using.
Responses are saved and submitted when a respondent clicks the Next or Done button on each page of the survey, or when they answer the first question embedded in an email invitation if In-email Response Capture is turned on and the question doesn’t have an Other Textbox or Comment field. Responses don’t automatically save as each question is answered—they are saved and submitted page by page as respondents progress through the survey.
TIP! If the survey is a single page, all responses are submitted at once when a respondent clicks the Done button. If the respondent doesn’t click the Done button, they will need to take the survey again to submit their responses.
If you choose to turn Response Editing off, respondents can still edit answers when they're on a given survey page, but not on previous pages—the Previous button is hidden from respondents when they're taking your survey.
However, when previewing your survey design, you'll still be able to use the Previous button to go back and edit responses because collector options aren't active when using a preview link.
TIP! If you don't allow response editing, edit the survey introduction to explain to respondents that they won't be able to go back to edit previous pages once they have submitted them.
Edit a survey response from the Individual Responses page in your survey results. You can edit responses from both the Table and Single view.
