Manual Assignments are assignments made by an administrator selectively. They can be applied to individual reviewers or assigned to teams, a predetermined group of reviewers. This article covers the ins and outs of manual assignments including how they are applied.
Manual reviewer assignments are selective assignments distributed to reviewers and/or review teams without the use of automatic assignments, assignment rules or automations. Manual Assignments can only be applied by site administrators with access to a program's Manage Reviews portal. Manual Assignments are preferred when the assignment distribution process can't follow a predetermined set of rules to distribute them automatically.
Manual Assignments can be distributed one of two ways: by assigning selected reviewers and/or teams to applications, or by assigning select applications to reviewers and/or teams. Both methods are described later in this article.
TIP! Before assigning applications manually, be sure that all applications to be assigned are within the review stage the review will take place.
