You can streamline your document signing process by connecting Docusign to SurveyMonkey Apply. Instead of manually collecting signatures, you can collect secure Docusign e-signatures directly within your application and review workflow. This helps speed up the review process, track progress in real time, reduce manual effort, and simplify the signing process for applicants, recommenders, and reviewers.
You can connect your Docusign account to SurveyMonkey Apply either:
To link your account from a task:
To link your account from a form:
To collect e-signatures, add a Docusign signature question to your forms.
To add a Docusign signature question:
You can add multiple Docusign signature steps at different stages of your program workflow. Once an applicant signs, you can set up automation rules to automatically advance the application to the next step.
If an applicant edits their answers after signing, they need to re-sign the document to attach the signature to the updated application.
As an admin, you can’t edit an application's completed task that has a Docusign signature. Instead, you can reset the task on the applicant's behalf. This clears all the data previously collected within the task, and the applicant has to start over.
If a change is made after a Docusign signature has already been submitted, the change will not be reflected in the Docusign version. Any changes made will only be reflected within SurveyMonkey Apply. Admins can request a new signature to validate the changes.
You can manage your connections from Integrations which you can get to from the Settings icon.
If you haven't linked a Docusign account yet, select Configure to get started.
If you are connected, you will see Connections displaying the number of accounts you have linked. Selecting Connections, lets you view its status, view your linked email address, and link or unlink your accounts.
Each program supports only one active Docusign connection. However, you can run multiple programs simultaneously, each linked to a different Docusign account.
You can disconnect your account manually at any time from Integrations. Your account is automatically disconnected if you no longer have an active Docusign account, run out of envelopes, or if you downgrade to a lower plan. If your connection expires, re-connect your Docusign account.
Disconnecting your Docusign account turns off signature requests in active program workflows. Active forms automatically revert to manual signatures or your preferred setting. Docusign stays visible as an option if you want to link your account again later.
Admins can export application data containing Docusign signatures following the standard SurveyMonkey Apply data export process.
When you export your report it will include your Docusign envelope IDs, which are listed as responses to questions. This unique ID lets you search, track, and verify signed documents in your Docusign dashboard.
