Smart notifications let you send email notifications to you or others based on conditions you set. For example, you can set up a smart notification to send you an email each time someone answers a survey question with a specific answer. Only survey owners can manage smart notifications and their conditions, but they can share those notifications with others.
A smart notification is sent when a survey response meets a set of conditions, called a trigger. Conditions can be based on specific survey answers, or custom variables. Each trigger can have multiple conditions, which must all be met for a smart notification to send. Smart notifications won't send for disqualified responses.
Smart notifications are survey-specific. If you have multiple surveys you want to receive notifications for, you need to create smart notifications for each one. You can set up to 10 smart notifications per survey. Only the survey owner can set up smart notifications on their survey.
To create a smart notification:
When you create a smart notification, you can choose to send emails to yourself or share them with others. Anyone you select will get an email each time a survey response is submitted that matches the trigger conditions you set up.
The email has a link to view the individual response, which people can see without logging in to a SurveyMonkey account. The link stays active for 90 days after the notification is sent.
To stop sharing a smart notification with someone:
To stop receiving smart notifications, reach out to the survey owner and they can take you off the list. To find out who the survey owner is, look for the name listed in the smart notification email. When you opt out of smart notifications, you’ll no longer receive these messages in the Notification Center.
If you want to stop sending a certain smart notification, you can turn it off temporarily or permanently delete it.
