A QR code is a 2D barcode that people can scan with their smartphone to open and take your survey. It's common to include QR codes on print media like pamphlets, posters, and receipts.
Download a QR Code
To download your QR code:
- Create a Web Link collector.
- Optional: Customize your URL ending. Since the QR code you download includes the URL ending in the file name, customizing the URL ending can make it easier for you to match it with the right survey and collector.
- Click DOWNLOAD QR CODE under the survey link. The QR code downloads to your computer with the file name QR code_your-weblink-ending.png. The QR code downloads to the maximum width and height (256x256).
Options & Settings
The collector options you select affect both the survey link and the QR code—so the survey experience will be the same for people taking your survey from either place.
If you send out both the URL and the QR code to collect responses, you won't be able to filter your results by QR code only. You can only filter your results by the entire collector.
If you want to be able to filter by QR code only, make sure to only share the QR code and not the URL—then you can filter by collector.
Scanning a QR Code
Scanning a SurveyMonkey QR code with your smartphone or tablet opens the survey on the device so people can take the survey. Some phones already have QR code readers built in, or you can download a QR code reader app onto your device.
