Your plan type determines the set of features you have available in your account. We offer one free plan with limited features and several pro plans with more advanced features. You'll see a notification in your account if you need to upgrade to a particular pro plan in order to use a feature.
If you already have a SurveyMonkey account, you can reference your plan type in your Account Summary.

The BASIC plan is completely free. You can create and send a survey with up to 10 questions or elements (including question types, descriptive text, or images) with in a matter of minutes and view up to 100 responses per survey.
As our lowest-tiered plan, the BASIC plan has a limited set of features. You'll see a notification in your account if you need to upgrade to a particular pro plan in order to use a feature.

Pro plans get you access to more powerful features, like the ability to use survey logic in your design, export your results, or create custom reports.
Our current pro plans are SELECT, GOLD, and PLATINUM. All pro plans offer one-year subscriptions billed on an annual basis (every 12 months). Only the SELECT plan offers a monthly payment option.
Pro plans are tiered—higher tiers contain all the features of the plans below it, in addition to more advanced features. For example, the GOLD plan includes all the features of the SELECT plan, plus features only available to GOLD plans or higher. The PLATINUM plan includes all the features on the SELECT and GOLD plans, plus features only available to PLATINUM plans or higher.
If you need multiple SurveyMonkey accounts for your organization and you have an annual plan, you can create a team.
ENTERPRISE plans have the same features as the PLATINUM plan.
If you worked with our sales team to create your account, you likely have an ENTERPRISE plan. You may also have an ENTERPRISE plan if you upgraded to PLATINUM between October 2014 and May 2016. You can reference your plan type in your Account Summary.
You may have one of the follow grandfathered (also known as legacy) plan types, which is a plan type we no longer offer to new customers: PRO Monthly, Unlimited, or Zoomerang. As we build new features for our current plan types, they may not be available on these plans.
If you miss a payment or cancel a subscription for a grandfathered plan and decide to reactivate your account in the future, you'll need to upgrade to a current plan type and price from our Plans & Pricing page—you can't reactivate a grandfathered plan.
