Customize the look and feel of your survey from the Design Survey’s Style tab. You can choose from Settings and Themes to design a survey that looks great.

| Setting | Description |
| Your Logo | Add a logo to your survey to stay on brand. You can customize the logo Size or Position near the top of every survey page. |
| Footer | The Powered by SurveyMonkey footer displays at the bottom of your survey pages, email invitation messages, and embedded surveys. Choose between a Subtle grey to blend the footer in with your survey or None to hide the footer completely. |
| Fonts | Customize the Font type, style, and size of various survey text, like Survey title, Question text, or Error text. While there isn’t currently a Font category for thank you message, disqualification message, over-quota message, or password required message, they inherit by the Answer Choices font settings. |
| Layout | Select from Full background or Partial background survey layouts. |
| Background | Upload or edit a Background image for your survey and adjust the background opacity. |
| Colors | Select a Preset color to adjust the color palette for your survey or Edit to customize the colors for specific text, like title, question, or survey background. |
| Element | Color description |
| Title text | The color selected for your survey title. Quiz score text takes on the Title text color selection, so make sure to choose a contrasting Title text and Survey background color. |
| Question text | The color selected for your survey questions. |
| Answer choice text | The text color of a question's answer options. |
| Accents | Accents include elements like buttons, progress bars, and selected checkboxes. |
| Accent text | The text color for accents like buttons, progress bars, and selected checkboxes. This color appears on top of the Accents color, so make sure there’s enough contrast so it’s easy to read. |
| Survey Background | The background color that appears behind the questions in your survey. If you’re using a background image, this color is hidden. |
When you add or edit a question, you can adjust these question-level settings to further style your survey.

| Format text | The text formatting toolbar lets you customize your question and answer text, add media, format content, or hyperlink. |
| Survey format | Survey format controls how your survey displays to respondents and how they interact with it. - Classic shows all questions on a page at once so people can see the whole survey page, at a glance. This format works with all question types and is best for longer surveys with multiple pages. - One question at a time lets people focus their attention on one question before automatically scrolling on to the next one. This format works with all question types but is best for shorter, one-page surveys. - Conversation mode turns your survey into a chat conversation.This format is best for quick surveys with 15 questions or less. This format doesn’t support the Matrix/Rating Scale or File Upload questions. |
| Question size and layout | Within your survey questions, select Options to adjust the size, spacing, and layout of your question. |
