Insights helps you understand your survey data. Instead of reading through every response yourself, this feature gives you automated key takeaways.

Insights are available for surveys that meet the following requirements:

  • The survey is in English.
  • You have between 30 and 10,000 responses. Filtering your dataset to display between 30–10,000 responses doesn’t change the survey's total response limit.

Insights uses functionality from Analyze with AI and Thematic Analysis, as well as Sentiment Analysis to generate insights about your survey. Your data is not used to train any third-party AI models. Learn more about how this feature processes your data

We automatically process your Insights if your account meets the requirements, so you don’t have to take any action or wait to review your data.

This feature uses Sentiment Analysis and Thematic Analysis to summarize common themes and tone across responses, when available.

If you open an older survey, you may not see your Insights right away. Refresh your page after a few minutes to see your newly generated Insights.

To find your Insights:

  1. Go to the Analyze results section of your survey.
  2. Open the Question summaries tab.
  3. Look at the top of your page to see your Insights.

At the top of the page, you see several Insights. Along with each takeaway, you automatically see a brief explanation that shows how the insight was calculated.

If you apply a filter or a compare rule, you can’t see your Insights. Because the feature uses your aggregated data, clear your active filters to view Insights.

Select Show more or Show less to change how many insights you see.

To expand or collapse a specific insight, select the chevron icon next to it. To collapse or expand the entire Insights section, select the chevron icon next to the Insights heading.

As more people take your survey, your report automatically updates to include their answers. Your list of takeaways will automatically be refreshed when new insights are available.
