What's my plan?
The plan you have determines the set of features available in your account. We offer one free plan with limited features and several paid plans with more advanced features. If you already have a SurveyMonkey account, you can see what plan you have in your Account Summary. If you don't have one yet, check out our Plans & Pricing.
What features do I have?
To see the features on your plan or which plan you need to use a particular feature, refer to our Plans & Pricing details. This page lays out the features available on each plan. If you already have a SurveyMonkey account, you should sign in before viewing the page so it's personalized for your account.
The best way to know what features you have or don’t have is to sign in to your account and use the site. When using SurveyMonkey, you’ll see a notification in your account if you need to upgrade to a particular plan to use a paid feature.
With our free Basic plan, you can create and send a survey with up to 10 questions or elements (including question types, descriptive text, or images) within a matter of minutes and view up to 100 responses per survey. The free plan has a limited set of features, so you'll see notifications in your account if you need to upgrade to use a feature.
Paid plans (or pro plans) get you access to more powerful features, like using survey logic in your design, exporting your results, or creating custom reports. Our current plans are Select, Gold, and Platinum (or you might see them as Standard, Advantage, and Premier). All paid plans offer one-year subscriptions billed on an annual basis every 12 months. The Select plan offers a monthly option.
Paid plans are tiered—higher tiers contain all the features of the plans below it, in addition to more advanced features. For example, the Gold plan includes all the features of the Select plan, plus features only available to Gold plans or higher. The Platinum plan includes all the features on the Select and Gold plans, plus features only available to Platinum plans or higher.
Here are some of the main differences between our paid plans. Search our help center above to get all the details on a particular feature.
The Select plan removes a lot of the limits you run into on a free plan—most importantly, you can export your survey results. You can also add unlimited questions to your survey, create unlimited collectors to send your survey to respondents through many more channels, and create unlimited rules and filters to focus your analysis.
Select Monthly is a great option if you prefer to pay and renew month-to-month. It includes 1,000 responses a month, so if you go over 1,000 survey responses in any given monthly billing cycle, there's an additional charge per response. If you're going to collect more than 1,000 responses monthly, go for Select Annual or higher—you can collect unlimited responses with no extra fees on any annual plan.
The Gold plan gives you everything included in the Select plan, plus it has more advanced logic features that let you really customize the behavior of your survey—like Response Quotas, Question and Page Randomization, A/B Tests, and more. This is our most popular plan!
The Platinum plan gives you access to all our paid features. You’ll have more brand control—you can remove SurveyMonkey branding from the footer of your survey, use research.net in your survey URL instead of surveymonkey.com, and get extra fancy with Advanced Branching Logic or Advanced Piping. This plan also gives you access to one-on-one phone support.
Enterprise plans have the same core features as the Platinum plan—but with an Enterprise plan, you can get even more by working with our sales team to purchase special add-on features and solutions for your organization. Click Enterprise Solutions from our Plans & Pricing to learn more.
If you worked with our sales team to create your account, you likely have an Enterprise plan. You may also have an Enterprise plan if you upgraded to Platinum between October 2014 and May 2016. You can reference your plan type in your Account Summary.
You may have a grandfathered plan (also known as legacy plan), which is an older plan don't offer anymore, like Pro Monthly, Unlimited, or Zoomerang. As we build new features for our current plan types, they may not be available on these plans. If you miss a payment or cancel a grandfathered plan and decide to reactivate your account in the future, you'll need to upgrade from our current Plans & Pricing—you can't reactivate a grandfathered plan.
