New Homepage Beta: If you’re seeing the new homepage experience things may look a bit different but we encourage you to try it out. If you don’t find the features you’re looking for, you can click the New Homepage toggle to access the Dashboard and My Surveys.

Folders help you organize and filter surveys on the new homepage and My Surveys page.

Accessing Your Folders

All surveys is your default view on both the new homepage and My Surveys page. It isn’t possible to change your default view.

To view surveys in folders, click the folder name on the new homepage or select the folder name from the All folder dropdown on My Surveys.

Managing Folders

Folder names can be up to 50 characters long.

Create a New Folder

Steps from the new homepage
To create a new folder from the new homepage:
1. Go to the new homepage.
2. Under All Surveys, click the + icon next to Folders.
3. Click +New Folder.
4. Enter a folder name.
5. Click Create.
Steps from My Surveys
To create a new folder from the My Surveys page:
1. Go to the My Surveys page.
2. At the top of the survey list, click the All Surveys dropdown.
3. Click Manage Folders.
4. Click + New Folder.
5. Enter a name for the folder.
6. Click Save.

Rename a Folder

Steps from the new homepage
To edit the name of a folder from the new homepage:
1. Go to the new homepage.
2. Hover over the Folder you want to rename.
3. Click the three dots next to the folder and select Rename.
4. Enter a new name.
5. Click Save.
Steps from My Surveys
To edit the name of a folder from the My Surveys page:
1. Go to the My Surveys page.
2. At the top of the survey list, click the All Surveys dropdown.
3. Click Manage Folders.
4. Click Edit to the right of a folder.
5. Enter a new name.
6. Click Save.

Delete a Folder

When you delete a folder, surveys inside the folder aren't deleted. Surveys will stay in your account in All Surveys.

Steps from the new homepage
To delete a folder from the new homepage:
1. Go to the new homepage.
2. Hover over the Folder you want to delete.
3. Click the three dots next to the folder and select Delete.
4. Click Delete to confirm.
Steps from My Surveys
To delete a folder from the My Surveys page:
1. Go to the My Surveys page.
2. At the top of the survey list, click the All Surveys dropdown.
3. Click Manage Folders.
4. Click Delete next to the folder you want to delete.
5. Click Delete again to confirm.

Move Surveys into a Folder

Steps from the new homepage
To move a survey into a folder from the new homepage:
1. From the new homepage, click the ... three dots on the survey you want to move.
2. Click Move to Folder.
3. From the Folder panel:
  Choose the existing folder you want to move the survey to, or
  Click +New Folder, name the folder, and click Create.
4. Click Move.
Steps from My Surveys
To move surveys into a folder from the My Surveys page:
1. Go to the My Surveys page.
2. Select one or more surveys.
3. From the menu that appears at the bottom of the page, click Move to.
  Choose the folder you want to move the surveys to.
  Click + New Folder, name the folder, and click Save and Move.

Remove a Survey from a Folder

Steps from the new homepage
To remove a survey from a folder from the new homepage:
1. From the new homepage, select the folder where the survey is currently stored.
2. Click the ... three dots next to the survey you want to remove from the folder, and select Remove from folder.
Your survey is removed from that folder and can now be found under All surveys.
Steps from My Surveys
To remove a survey from a folder from My Surveys:
1. Go to the My Surveys page.
2. Select one or more surveys.
3. From the menu that appears at the bottom of the page, click Move to.
4. Choose the Not filed folder to remove the survey from the current folder.
5. You can now find your survey under All surveys or in the Not filed folder.

It isn’t possible to password-protect a folder to restrict access—each SurveyMonkey account is meant for one person.

Paid feature

When you have shared surveys in your account, My Surveys automatically creates certain folders to help you organize your survey list.

Folder name	Description
All surveys	Every survey in your account (includes surveys shared with you)
Surveys not filed	Only available from My Surveys. The surveys in your account that haven't been added to a folder (excludes surveys shared with you)
Your surveys	Surveys owned by you
Surveys shared with others	Surveys you own and have shared with others
Surveys shared with you	Surveys owned by someone else and shared with you

You can’t add surveys shared with you to your folders—you can only move surveys you own.

Folders aren’t automatically created for surveys on the new Homepage.
