SurveyMonkey Contribute lets you complete surveys to play our sweepstakes instant win game and donate to participating charities. You’ll take surveys from SurveyMonkey Audience customers who need feedback from people like you.
When you sign up for Contribute, you also get a SurveyMonkey account (our free plan) you can use to create your own surveys. The email or username and password are the same for both accounts.
As part of the sign-up process, you'll fill out a profile with general questions about you and your lifestyle. This profile info helps ensure you’ll take surveys relevant to you, your background, and other criteria that SurveyMonkey Audience customers are looking for.
To update or edit your profile:
We share basic demographic info in survey results. To maintain your privacy, we never share your name, username, email address, or home address. For more information, please read our Privacy Notice.
To take a survey, log in to your Contribute account and click Take a survey from your dashboard- Check out an example of this in the image at the top of this article.
We sometimes send you an email or text inviting you to take surveys, if you’re subscribed for these notifications. You can update your Notification Settings at any time.
There may not always be surveys available that match your profile, but don’t worry—we’ll have more surveys for you to take soon.
When you complete a survey, we’ll automatically donate to your default charity.
You’ll also gain a chance to spin the wheel to the win the sweepstake prize. You can go to your dashboard and Play to Win to see if you have any spins.
In order to donate to your default charity and Play to Win you must complete the survey. Completing the survey means that you answer all required questions and click Done on the last page of the survey.
Some surveys may have screening questions at the start of the survey to ensure survey creators are getting the respondent data they need. You may not complete the survey and collect a reward if you are disqualified by the screening questions.
If you exit a survey before completing it, you won't receive credit, and you won't be able to access the same survey again.
To get to your account settings, click My Account in the upper-right corner of your dashboard. Click on the setting you wish to update.
|Edit my profile||You'll find a record of the profile questions you've already answered. Click Edit your answer to update any question.|
|Change my charity||Select one of the participating charities to update your Default Charity. The selected charity saves to your account automatically.|
|Update notification settings||Subscribe (or unsubscribe) from email invites or sign up for text message invites. If you turn off all notification settings, you'll still be able to sign in to Contribute to take surveys.|
|Change your email address, password, and other settings||Log in to your SurveyMonkey account to change your email address/ username, email address, or password. Your login details for both accounts are the same and managed in SurveyMonkey.|
|Delete my account||If you delete your Contribute account, your survey history, profile information, and username are permanently deleted. Deleting your Contribute account does not delete your SurveyMonkey account. However, deleting your SurveyMonkey account will delete your Contribute account.|
My Donations displays at the bottom of your My Account page. It summarizes your total amount donated and the charities you donated to.
We retired the Contribute Plug-in. This means if you have the plug-in installed, we're not collecting data about the use of your device and there's no increase in the donations made to participating charities.
If you know of or work for a charity that may be interested in being considered for Momentive’s Together Contribute partnership, please complete our charity partner application. You’ll answer eligibility questions before you can access the application.

If you have concerns about a survey you’re taking, please click Report a problem with this survey at the bottom of any survey page to alert us.
