Creating Tickets in Zendesk from Web Button Responses (app.usabilla.com)

Integrate your web feedback button with Zendesk to create tickets when respondents submit feedback. You can automatically create tickets in Zendesk or submit data manually.

  • Have your administrator generate an API token in Zendesk for you.
  • Get your Zendesk administrator’s email address. You’ll need it to set up the integration in GetFeedback.

To set up the Zendesk integration:

  1. In app.usabilla.com, select your name in the bottom corner, then select Account Settings.
  2. In the Integrations tab, select Zendesk.
  3. Select the web feedback button you want to integrate with Zendesk.
  4. Select when you would like GetFeedback to push the feedback response:
    • When a response has an email address
    • When a responses has a comment
    • When a response has an email address or comment
    • Send all feedback responses
    • Only send responses manually
  5. Enter your Zendesk subdomain (it's the part before ".zendesk.com"—https://[subdomain].zendesk.com).
  6. Enter the email address connected to your Zendesk account (use the email address that is listed in the example API call on the API page).
  7. Enter the Zendesk API token your admin generated for you. If you're setting up the integration for multiple feedback buttons, you can use the same token for all buttons.
  8. Check the Enable box to turn on the Zendesk integration when you save you integration settings. If needed, you can disable it later.
  9. Select Save to finalize your Zendesk integration.

If you enabled the integration, we create a new ticket in Zendesk when feedback matches the conditions you set.

If you selected manual push as an integration option, you can push individual feedback responses to Zendesk. To manually submit feedback:

  1. From the Buttons & Forms section of the left-side menu, select Feedback.
  2. Select the feedback response you want to create a ticket for.
  3. Select the icon next to Zendesk.

You can change your integration settings and turn your integration on or off at any time.

To edit your Zendesk settings in GetFeedback:

  1. In app.usabilla.com, select your name in the bottom corner, then select Account Settings.
  2. In the Integrations tab, scroll to the Zendesk.com section.
  3. Select the web feedback button you want to edit.
  4. Change your settings and select Save.
