GetFeedback

Updating Salesforce Leads

Essentials feature: Available on Essentials, Pro, and Ultimate plans.

Use mappings on your Salesforce-ready surveys to check for existing leads and contacts in Salesforce and avoid creating duplicates. If your mapping finds an existing contact or lead, it can also update the existing record to track changes.

Create your GetFeedback survey and include a Salesforce form question.

To create mappings to check for leads or contacts:

  1. From your survey, select Mappings > Salesforce Custom Mappings.
  2. Set up your mapping:
    • Choose Contact or Lead as your object.
    • Choose Create new or update existing as your action.
  3. Select Contine, then set up the matching rule:
    • Choose Email for Find an existing Lead/Contact by matching
    • Choose Form field as the source for the email, then choose the question and field to pull the email address from.
  4. Choose the action to take if the email matches multiple records:
    • Update the most recently modified record: Update the last record with this email address that was updated within your Salesforce org.
    • Update the most recently created record: Update the last record created within your Salesforce org that shares the same email address.
    • Update all: Update all records found that have the same email address.

When you're done, save your mappings and publish your survey. Test your survey to make sure your mappings work correctly.
