  2. Enter your question text.
  3. Adjust the settings under the Edit and Options tabs.
  4. Click Save.

Question Settings

Under the Edit tab, you can adjust the following settings specific to the File Upload question.

Additional Options

Under the Options tab, you can also adjust these settings:

Maximum file size accepted16MB
Number of File Upload questions allowed per survey20
Storage space per accountUnlimited

Managing Files

In the Analyze Results section, you can view and manage the files that were uploaded to your survey.

Preview a File

You can preview image files in the Analyze Results section. At this time, you can't preview PDF, DOC, or DOCX files, so you'll need to download them to view their content.

To preview a file:

  1. Under the Question Summaries tab, scroll to the File Upload question.
  2. Click the down arrow to the right of the file you want to preview.
  3. Click Preview file.
Downloading Files

To download all files:

  1. In the Question Summaries tab, scroll to the File Upload question.
  2. In the right-hand corner, click Save As.
  3. Select Download all files.

You can download up to 200MB of files at once. If your files total more than 200MB, you may need to download files individually to reduce the export size.

To download files one at a time, click Download next to the file you want to save in the Question Summaries tab.

Delete a File

The only way to delete a file is to delete the entire response. However, there's no storage limit in your account so you don't have to worry about clearing up space.

Files aren't included when you export your survey data. Most exports (except PowerPoint) include the file names of the files uploaded to your survey, so you can associate each response with the correct file.

Shared Data Pages and Results Dashboards

Shared data pages and results dashboards don’t display File Upload data or the file names.
