PAID FEATURE: The file upload field is only available on paid plans.
Use the file upload field to let people attach files, like photos or resumes, to submit with their form.
The file upload field lets people upload files up to a certain size per field and per form. Depending on your plan type, you can choose to increase the file size limit or form upload limit when you add the field.
Here are the size limit options:
Setting | Default Size Limit | Increased Size Limit |
Max file size per field | 10 MB | 25 MB |
Max file size limit per form (across multiple fields) | 20 MB | 100 MB |
If someone tries to upload a file that's larger than the limit, an error message will tell them to decrease the file size and upload again.
You can add up to 20 file upload fields per form.
The File Upload field lets people upload most file types, except: HTML, EXE, DLL, PHP, PHP3, and PHPS
Files people submit with their entries are stored in your account and count towards your total storage limit. To see how much storage you're currently using, check your Account Usage in the Account Manager. To increase your file storage limit, upgrade your plan .
Once you reach your file storage limit, people trying to upload a file won't be able to—instead they'll see an error message.
They can still submit the rest of their entry, as long as the file upload field isn't required.
To free up storage and accept new file uploads, you can delete files directly from each entry in the Entry Manager, or from the File Manager. Deleting the file from either place will permanently delete it from your account.
Privacy Matters! Files uploaded by respondents are stored as a public URL that may be included in Notification Emails, Confirmation Emails, Exports, or Reports. Files are downloadable to anyone with access to the link.
