Deleting Responses

Deleting responses is permanent. Once you delete them, they can't be restored.

You can delete individual responses or all the responses from a collector. If you delete responses from a shared survey, they're also deleted from any accounts with shared access.

If you have a Basic (free) plan, the number of responses your account can have and delete depends on when your account was created and your billing location. For example, you may be able to delete 40 or 50 responses total from your account.

TIP! If you're on a free (Basic) plan, you can immediately delete all responses over your account limit.

Deleting Individual Responses
TIP! Create a filter to hide incomplete responses instead of deleting them. When the response status is Incomplete, the survey may be in progress.
To permanently delete responses in Table view:
1. Go to the Analyze Results section.
2. Select the Individual Responses tab toward the top of the page.
3. In Table view, find the response you want to delete.
4. Select the Delete button on the right side of the table.
5. At the confirmation message, select Delete Response.
To permanently delete responses in Single view:
1. Go to the Analyze Results section of your survey.
2. Select the Individual Responses tab toward the top of the page.
3. In the top right corner, change the view from Table to Single.
4. Use the left and right arrows to locate the response you want to delete.
5. Select the Delete button in the upper-right corner of the response.
6. Select Delete response.
If you sent your survey via Email Invitation, the contact won't be deleted from the collector and their response status in the collector will not change.
Deleting All Responses from a Collector
To permanently delete all responses from a collector:
1. Go to the Collect Responses tab of your survey.
2. Select ... to the right of the collector.
3. Select Delete all responses.
