Adding Video or Audio

You can add videos hosted on popular sites like YouTube, Vimeo, or Twitter/X into question text or answer choice fields. You can also add audio using SoundCloud.

Or, you can drag and drop Text from the Build section into your survey design, and add audio or video there—independent of any questions in the survey.

If you are using a Vimeo video, it must be published. Private/unlisted videos will not display.

To add video or audio:

Copy the embed code for it. The embed code is a string of HTML that allows you to put a media player directly into your survey.
Find the embed code instructions for each of our supported platforms:
In SurveyMonkey, click the textbox where you want to add the embed.
Click the Insert/Edit Media icon in the formatting toolbar.
Click the Embed tab.
Paste the video or audio embed code in the text box.
Click Ok.
