Changing the SurveyMonkey Footer

The "Powered by SurveyMonkey" footer appears by default at the bottom of your survey design, email invitation messages, and embedded surveys. Depending on your SurveyMonkey plan, you can make the footer grey to blend in with your survey, or hide the footer completely.

You can make the SurveyMonkey branding at the bottom of your survey grey, so it blends in with your survey theme.

To make the footer grey:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section of your survey.
  2. Click Style.
  3. In the Settings tab, click Footer.
  4. Select Subtle.

Hide Branding (Survey Footer)

To hide the footer, you need to turn it off in each of your surveys, messages, or embedded surveys individually. There isn't a universal account setting that can turn the footer off in all places or for all surveys.

You can hide the SurveyMonkey branding from the bottom of your survey design.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section of your survey.
  2. Click Style.
  3. In the Settings tab, click Footer.
  4. Select None to hide the footer.

TIP! To add your own footer to the bottom of each survey page, add additional text into your survey at the end of each page. You can add extra spacing to the top of the text so it appears lower down the page.

Hide Branding (Email Invitation)

You can hide the SurveyMonkey branding or remove the [FooterLink] from the footer of your email invitations.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. When composing your message, click Edit in the upper-right corner of the message preview.
  2. At the bottom of the message, check the box to Hide SurveyMonkey branding.
  3. Click Save.

If you're using a Website Collector to embed your survey on your website, you can hide the SurveyMonkey branding that appears in the bottom border of the survey widget.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Collect Responses section of your survey.
  2. Click the name of your Website Collector.
  3. Click Back until you get to Step 1 of 3: Design Theme.
  4. Toggle Hide SurveyMonkey Branding on.
  5. Click Review Options. Your changes save automatically and you don't need to re-install the code.

You can hide the SurveyMonkey branding from your shared data page.

If you want to use the default footer, or need to add the default footer back to your survey to send it, these steps will help.

To use the default SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section of your survey.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Style.
  3. Click Footer.
  4. Select Default to add the footer back to your survey.

TIP! If your plan doesn't include the ability to to change the footer, you'll need to use the default footer to be able to send your survey. Learn more about what happens when you change plans.
