To score your survey in the Preview and Score tab:

  1. After creating your survey, click Preview survey.
  2. In the new tab, review the Score survey tab to see any recommendations and what your estimated completion rate and time to complete are.
  3. (Optional) Return to the Design Survey section and make any recommended improvements. You can always check your survey score again after you've made changes.

Beta feature: Preview and Review is only available to some customers at this time.

The Survey genius banner at the bottom of your Preview and Review page lets you know if your survey is ready to send or has issues that you should consider improving upon. Click View details to expand a side panel to the right of the survey to view the issues we recommend fixing, survey tips, and predictions.

You can fix issues and make survey improvements in the Design Survey section. Then, you can check your survey score again after you've made changes to see how you did!

Survey research shows that things like the number of questions in your survey, the order of question types, and the size or length of a question can affect survey completion rates. Your score and recommendations are based on this data.

Here's what each piece of your score means:

Item
Description
Overall AssessmentYou get an overall assessment like "Critical Issues," "Minor Issues," "No Issues," or "Ready to send" depending on the level of severity and how many areas for improvement we find.
Estimated Completion RateThe percentage of respondents that will likely complete your entire survey.
Estimated Time to CompletionHow many minutes we estimate it'll take for people to complete your entire survey.

Based on how you set up the questions in your survey, we recommend specific things you can change to make it more likely for people to complete your entire survey. Under each recommendation, we specify which question it applies to so you can easily go to the Design Survey section and make the right changes. We also recommend some features that might interest you based on how you've set up your survey so far.

If you edit your questions based on our recommendations, you can always score your survey again to see how you did. Of course, it's not required to follow our recommendations if you don't want to.
