Hiding the "Powered by SurveyMonkey" Footer

PRO FEATURE: Removing SurveyMonkey branding is a professional feature that's only available on some plans. If it isn't available on your plan, you'll see the option to upgrade when trying to use the feature in your account.

The "powered by SurveyMonkey" footer appears by default in your survey design, email invitation messages, and embedded surveys. Depending on your SurveyMonkey plan, you can turn off the footer to hide SurveyMonkey branding from your survey.

You need to turn off the footer in each of your surveys, messages, or embedded surveys individually—there isn't a universal account setting that can turn the footer off in all places or for all surveys.

Survey Design

You can hide SurveyMonkey branding from the bottom of your survey design.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Design Survey section of your survey.
  2. In the left sidebar, click OPTIONS.
  3. Click Footer to turn off the footer.
TIP! To add your own footer to the bottom of each survey page, add additional text into your survey at the end of each page. You can add extra spacing to the top of the text so it appears lower down the page.

Email Invitations

You can hide SurveyMonkey branding or remove the [FooterLink] from the footer of your email invitations.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. When composing your message, click Edit in the upper-right corner of the message preview.
  2. At the bottom of the message, check the box to Hide SurveyMonkey branding.
  3. Click Save.

Embedded Surveys

If you're using a Website Collector to embed your survey on your website, you can hide the SurveyMonkey branding that appears in the bottom border of the survey widget.

To hide the SurveyMonkey footer:

  1. Go to the Collect Responses section of your survey.
  2. Click the name of your Website Collector.
  3. In the Themes tab, scroll to Hide SM Branding and click the grey button to turn the setting on.
  4. Click Save.
Depending on your SurveyMonkey plan, you can turn off the "Powered by SurveyMonkey" footer in your survey design, email invitation messages, or embedded surveys.
