To get to your billing details:
Billing and Transaction gives you an overview of your plan cost and when your next payment is due.
| Item | Description |
| Plan Type | The features available in your account. See Plans & Pricing to learn more. |
| Billing Frequency | How often you need to make a payment, known as your billing cycle. In other words, how often your plan auto-renews. |
| Next Billing Date | When your paid plan auto-renews. |
If you sign up for an annual plan, you pay for a year up front. Your subscription auto-renews every 12 months until you cancel.
If you sign up for a monthly plan, you pay for the first billing cycle up front, then your subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel.
Additionally, 3DS cards can be used to purchase plans. During the renewal process, users would get a Stripe email to confirm the payment. Once the payment is made through the email, their access would be re-enabled.
Users can also choose to update their payment method in the application with a non-3DS card, which would subsequently be used for seamless payments.
The Billing History shows your past invoices. Invoices are also emailed to the billing contact listed on the account.
The Current Plan shows your upcoming payments. From here you can also adjust your payment method or change your plan type.
You can update your payment method and billing address in the Payment Information section of your Billing Details. The details that you can edit depend on your payment method.
If your plan expires, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan to edit your billing details. You can update your payment info and billing address during checkout.
Your subscription auto-renews until you cancel.
You can update the invoice billing address from the Billing Information. Edit this information before we issue your next invoice—changes only apply to future invoices.

Depending on your billing location, taxes may be included in the price of subscriptions, renewals, and other purchases, or it may be added as a separate line item on your invoice. If you don't see your billing country listed below, SurveyMonkey doesn't add taxes to your purchase price. It's your responsibility as a consumer or business to pay any applicable taxes to your local government, as needed.
Some organizations and businesses may be exempt from sales tax. If you're currently receiving a charity or nonprofit discount, you aren't automatically exempt from paying sales tax, and you need to complete the exemption process based on your location.
SurveyMonkey is required to charge sales tax in certain U.S. locations to comply with local laws. If the billing address for your current payment method is located in a region that collects sales tax, you'll see the tax on your SurveyMonkey invoice starting February 1st, 2019.
This tax applies to all SurveyMonkey products, including SurveyMonkey Enterprise, SurveyMonkey Audience, and our other business solutions.
Local tax rates vary depending on your state, county, and city. Make sure your current Billing Details are up to date so that we can charge the correct tax rate.
Some organizations and businesses may be exempt from sales tax. If you believe you qualify for an exemption, email your Stripe GetFeedback Digital account number and a contact email address to salestax@surveymonkey.com. Include “GFB Digital sales tax exemption” in the subject line. After the tax team receives your email, you’ll receive a tax exemption documentation request from Avalara (SurveyMonkey Instance), including a portal upload link. Once reviewed and approved you will need to contact billing@surveymonkey.com to request a sales tax refund.
Please note you have a limited amount of time, depending on your billing location. The amount of time you have to submit a tax exemption certificate after upgrading or renewal varies based on billing location. If you don't see your billing location in the table below, you have 90 days from date of purchase to apply.

The applicable VAT rate depends on your billing country.
If you're a VAT-registered business in the EU (other than Ireland), you can add a VAT registration number to exclude it from your purchase.
To exclude VAT from your purchase, you need to add your VAT number before making a payment—you can't retroactively apply a VAT number to a paid invoice.
