Logging in to Your Account
To log in to your SurveyMonkey account:
We send a login alert email to the account email address any time there's a login attempt from a new device or browser. Login alerts include a verification code that you need to enter to finish logging in.
You can be logged into your account from any two devices or browsers at a time.
When you log in from a third device, you’ll need to remove a verified device from your account to continue. If you want to use that device again in the future, you’ll just need to complete account verification the next time you log in from that device.
The SurveyMonkey app doesn't count towards your two-device limit, so you can always create and send simple surveys or check your results on the go.
To see your verified devices, edit a device nickname, or remove a device, go to the Login Details section of My Account.
Can I skip account verification?
Account Verification is a required step when you log in to your account and we recognize a new device or browser. It adds an extra layer of security to help protect your account and data.
You can skip account verification up to three times by clicking Do this later, but then you'll be required to verify each time you log in from a device that’s not saved in your account as a verified device.
TIP! If other people need access to surveys in your account, we have some great, secure ways you can continue to work with others on surveys.
I forgot my username or password
Reset your password if you forgot your username or password.
I didn't get the login alert email
Check your spam, junk, or clutter folder for the subject line, "New login alert."
You might need to add us to your safe senders list by whitelisting our info before you can receive emails from us. If you're not sure how to whitelist, just pass that info along to your IT department.
The verification code doesn't work
You can Request a new code from the verification screen and try again.
Verification codes expire after 24 hours or if a new code is triggered. Make sure to use the most recent code and enter it correctly—copy and paste the code directly from your email to make sure it's accurate.
I don't have access to the account email address
The account holder and owner of the email address should be the only person accessing the SurveyMonkey account. If you're sharing an account, reach out to the account holder and talk about secure ways to work with others on surveys.
Other Ways to Log In
Single Sign-On (SSO)
If you receive an error that your email address isn't enabled for SSO, make sure you're entering the email address you use for SSO at your organization. If you haven't yet joined your organization's team or you're still encountering log in issues, reach out to your IT department.
Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Office 365
You can link your SurveyMonkey account to Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Office 365 and use those credentials to log in. You'll still need to complete account verification if a new device or browser is detected.
You can manage your linked accounts from the Linked Accounts section in My Account.
If you signed up for SurveyMonkey through one of these social apps you may not have a password. To edit your Login Details or delete your account, you'll first need to enter your username in the Forgot Password flow to create a password.
If you select Remember Me when logging in to SurveyMonkey, you'll stay logged in on that browser for 2 weeks unless you sign out, clear your cookies before then, or your verified device is removed.
Remember Me won't work if your browser's only allowing session cookies—you can update this in your browser settings.
