One Question at a Time

The One Question at a Time setting makes it faster and easier to take a survey. Survey takers can focus their attention on one question at a time at the center of the screen, and when they finish answering a question, the survey automatically scrolls to the next one for them.

One Question at a Time is turned on automatically for all new surveys you create.

To turn One Question at a Time on or off:

  1. Click the Design Survey tab.
  2. In the left sidebar, click OPTIONS.
  3. Click One Question at a Time.
  4. Click Enable One Question at a Time to toggle the setting.
  5. Click Done.

OK Buttons

To prevent the survey from jumping to the next question before you're done answering the current one, some question types (like Comment Box) include an OK button that you need to click before it scrolls to the next question.

You can also customize the text on the button.

To edit the button text:

  1. Click the Design Survey tab.
  2. In the left sidebar, click OPTIONS.
  3. Click One Question at a Time.
  4. In the Customize Button Text field, enter your preferred text.
  5. Click Save.

Progress Bar

When the One Question at a Time setting is turned on, the progress bar is automatically turned on. When both settings are turned on at the same time, the progress bar displays in the footer of the survey instead of the header, and progress is measured by how many questions (out of the total) you've answered so far, rather than how many pages you've completed.

You can turn off the progress bar at any time while keeping the One Question at a Time setting turned on.

Unsupported Settings

When the One Question at a Time setting is turned on you can't adjust question layout, except on Multiple Choice and Checkbox questions.
