Benchmarks give context to your survey results by allowing you to compare your results to others who used the same Question Bank questions as you. You can buy benchmarks for specific comparison groups to help you narrow down the types of organizations included in a benchmark, like country, organization size, or industry.
To buy benchmarks:
TIP! To preview benchmarks, create a benchmarkable survey from a template and head straight to the Analyze Results section of the survey—you don't need to make any edits to the survey design or collect any responses in order to view benchmarks.
At this time, the benchmarks store is available in English and USD only. To pay in another currency, please visit the store and contact us.
Benchmark data is only available for certain Question Bank questions. If you're looking for a question set or comparison group that isn't listed or have additional questions, you can contact us in the upper-right corner of the benchmarks store.
Benchmarks are an annual subscription that you pay in addition to your SurveyMonkey plan subscription. Prices for benchmarks vary depending on the question set and comparison groups you choose. Prices tend to increase for more specific comparisons since the data is harder to obtain. Browse the benchmarks store to see our current pricing.

Viewing Questions & Benchmarks
On the My Benchmarks page, you'll see the following buttons:
TIP! For more info on analyzing your results, read Viewing Benchmarks in Survey Results.
Do I have to use every question in my survey?
You don’t have to use every question in the question set you bought in your survey. However, the more benchmarkable questions you use in a survey, the more comparisons you’ll see in your results. In other words, to view a benchmark for a question, you need to include it in your survey design.
Question sets align with expert templates you can use to easily create a benchmarkable survey. Templates also contain additional questions that you didn't purchase and aren't benchmarkable. You can feel free to add, edit, or delete questions that are in a template, as well as change the look and feel of the survey.
Can I edit benchmarkable questions?
Although some benchmarkable questions can be customized, editing the question type or answer text can cause misinterpretation and prevent you from seeing benchmarks. For best results, we recommend you only customize designated parts.
How often is benchmark data refreshed?
Your benchmark data is refreshed quarterly (every 3 months) to reflect the latest changes in industry, location, and size comparison groups. You can see the exact time frame a benchmark includes below any benchmark chart in the Analyze Results section of a survey with benchmarks.
Can I view benchmarks for any survey?
You can view benchmarks in any survey where you use a Question Bank question from the question set you purchased. In other words, if you use a benchmarkable question in the survey design, you can see the benchmark in the Analyze Results section of the survey.
Can people in my team see my benchmarks?
Additionally, if you purchase benchmarks and then join a team, your benchmarks will stay in your account—you'll always have access to your paid benchmarks until your benchmarks subscription expires.
