Can I track who has responded and keep the survey anonymous?

When you use the Email Invitation Collector, the email addresses of your respondents are stored in survey results by default.

You can edit the collector settings so that respondents' email addresses won't be stored in the survey results. You're still able to track who has and has not responded in the Recipients section of the collector.

To stop storing email addresses in the survey results:

  1. Go to the the Collect Responses section of your survey.
  2. Click the name of your Email Invitation Collector.
  3. In the grey sidebar on the left, click Change Settings.
  4. Under Save Email Address in Results? select No.
  5. Click Save Settings.

If you collected responses before changing the setting, the email address of respondents who already took the survey will be stored in the survey results.

To make survey results anonymous, do not add identifiable information in custom data associated with recipients you add to the Email Invitation Collector. This data may be passed through to survey results.
