How does SurveyMonkey help me to comply with financial privacy laws? (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)

The Financial Privacy Rule of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) imposes requirements on financial institutions who disclose consumers’ nonpublic personal information (“consumer information”).

Depending on the purposes for which a financial institution uses SurveyMonkey, a financial institution could be required to enter into a contract with us (as a third party service provider to the financial institution) that prohibits the disclosure or use of consumer information other than for the purpose for which it was originally disclosed by the consumer to the financial institution.

If you are a financial institution that requires SurveyMonkey to enter into such a contract with you, it is possible that this requirement may already be satisfied by SurveyMonkey’s Privacy Policy, so we encourage you to review it. If you have additional requirements, please contact our compliance team.
