What is the address book?
The Address Book is simply a book of your email addresses. If you have distribution lists of emails that receive many surveys, then within this section you can store lists. You can pull from those same lists over and over again when creating new Email Invitation collectors for different surveys.
Here's how to access the Address Book from your account:
- From the username drop-down menu in the upper right, click Address Book
Take a look through our video on how to add emails to your Address Book. (Note: This video is currently available in English only.)
Features of the Address Book:
- Add Emails
- Remove Emails
- Download Emails
- Delete Lists
NOTE: A paid account list may contain up to 10,000 emails. A BASIC (free) account list may contain up to 100 emails. You can create multiple lists, but each one will be limited to this amount.
Tip! You can import large lists of contacts at once. Check out our FAQ article here: How do I import my emails from Outlook?
Are the Emails Listed Alphabetically?
They are sorted alphabetically when originally imported and before they are inserted into the database, at which point, they are assigned their unique identifiers. If, at a later date, a new list is imported, those new addresses are sorted alphabetically and placed within the correct order of the existing list.
How Does It Work?
When creating a list in the Address Book, it only stores the emails within it. It does not allow you to track, schedule messages, etc.
- You can view the opted out and bounced emails in an Address Book list.
- If you wish to track the status of emails, you need to track inside the Email collector list.
Is the same as a Recipient List in an Email collector?
No, these aren't the same. While you can use the Address Book to populate the recipient list, once it is populated the association between the Address Book and the Email collector is gone.
Example: If an email is removed from the Address Book, all that does is remove that email from the current Address Book list. If an Email Invitation collector pulled emails from that book, those deleted emails still exist in the collector.
NOTE: If you want to remove/add an email from a recipient list you must remove (or add) that email from the Address Book AND the Edit Recipient list created in the Email Invitation collector.
